Frequently Asked Questions

Your wedding day is going to be the happiest day of your lives, so being able to relive it all again is so important. So much happens throughout the day. There are things you may have missed as well as moments you know you’ll want to look back on. There may also be people who can’t make it or who can’t be there for the entire day, so it’s great to be able to share it all with them too. Every couple that I have made films for are so glad they had it done. I speak to couples now about how much joy they still get from their films, years after their big day.
Well look at it this way, you’ll be wearing a dress and a suit professionally fitted, eating food professionally cooked, served by waiting on staff in a beautiful venue, surrounded by your friends and family from near and far. So having a professional Videographer (and photographer) on hand to capture your day is another way of making sure you’ve got the very best out of this amazing occasion. To be able to truly document and capture the day, you need a dedicated team to cover every angle.
You’ll be getting the whole day covered, so a lot of footage is captured. The length of your ceremony and speeches will make a big contribution to the film’s length. But generally, the feature length film will be between one and two hours and the highlights film between six and seven minutes. Like any good film, it will be entertaining, emotional and will capture the fun and individuality of the day.
You’ll hardly notice I’m there! I work in an unobtrusive manor, blending into the background and capture the day as it happens. However, I’m always on hand, should you need any assistance with anything. It’s your day and I want you to enjoy every minute of it!
If you want me to, and I strongly suggest that you do, I am more than happy to get a few words from your guests. In fact, I couldn’t recommend it enough as they often provide some of the most priceless moments of the film. Whether they’re funny, heartfelt or just cringe-worthy, they make an essential addition to your wedding film.
Turnaround for the edit will usually take between two and four months, it depends on the time of year. During peak wedding season and the months that follow, the editing workload will be more significant than during the winter and quieter periods. Every film gets the time and attention it deserves, so it can’t be rushed but it will always be worth the wait.
Absolutely! I ask you to provide a list of songs for your feature length film so that it’s as personal to you as possible. Songs from the day, songs that mean a lot to you or just songs you love! I do also have a good ear for a tune and what works well, so I can also make some suggestions. The highlights film will use licensed music (for copyright reasons, as it will be streamed online). So I choose a couple of tracks that suit the style of music you love. All of my example films use this music and it works brilliantly.
Yes I do! And at no extra cost. The use of a drone is dependant on the suitability and permission from the venue, as well as the weather. But whenever the opportunity arises, we love to get those aerial shots. There’s nothing like them!
Yes, absolutely! It gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and ensure that we get the most out of your film. There is a lot to talk about, from timings to any small details you want me to focus on. We could meet at the venue, at the pub, or I could come to you. Or if video call works best, we could do that too.
I’m based in Buxton, Derbyshire and willing to travel to all parts of the UK. I mostly cover Derbyshire, Cheshire, and Staffordshire. I don’t charge extra for weddings that take place within a 100-mile round trip. If your venue exceeds this distance, I will give you an estimate on the additional travel costs.
A Deposit of 20% of your chosen package is required to confirm your booking and is due within 2 weeks of the initial reservation.
